They have nail fungus in my toe nail and when I expressed myself about it I received the most horrible attitude.
I almost never write Google reviews, but after today I felt like I had to. The service was so disappointing that I ended up disputing the charge with my bank. Before booking, I specifically asked if they did Brazilian waxes. I was told yes and quoted $35. There was no mention of a wait time o When I arrived, I was not informed of any delay and ended up waiting about 25 minutes before my appointment even started. If they had been honest about their experience level or told me they were not comfortable performing Brazilian waxes, I would have respected that and gone somewhere else. Instead, they accepted my appointment and proceeded with a service they clearly struggled to perform. The original esthetician took an extremely long time and eventually had to bring in another employee because she could not complete the service herself. Instead of approaching the situation professionally, the second employee immediately became defensive. She repeatedly questioned whether this was my first time getting waxed and focused on my hand placement, even after I explained that I have had Brazilian waxes before and knew how to position myself. The issue was not my hand placement… the wax was not being applied or removed correctly!! At one point when I kept looking over to see why it’s taking forever to remove one small section. she said, “You know this isn’t easy.” I understand waxing takes skill and is not an easy service. However, this is still a professional service being provided to a paying customer. If you are not comfortable or capable of performing a service, you should communicate that instead of continuing and blaming the customer. We spent 20–30 minutes on the same area because they kept applying wax, removing it, and barely any hair was coming off. I even had to ask them to apply more wax because there was not enough product being used. I asked if they were going to complete another section included in a Brazilian wax, and the esthetician responded, “Oh, you wanted that too?” I was shocked because that is part of the service I booked and paid for. The appointment took so long that I ended up late for work. I arrived at 11:36 AM and did not leave until 1:08 PM. By that point, I was overwhelmed because I could see I was going to be charged for a service that was incomplete and not being performed properly. I was crying during the appointment, and while one employee said, “Don’t cry, don’t cry,” the situation became uncomfortable because I could hear her speaking negatively about me to the other employee she brought in for help. Instead of addressing my concerns, I felt blamed and dismissed. The most frustrating part was the lack of accountability. I came in, clearly communicated the service I wanted, and trusted that the salon could provide it. A professional response would have been to acknowledge that the service was not going well and offer a solution. To make matters worse, the service was still not completed. I left with wax stuck all over my skin, and when I got home I found a piece of the esthetician’s disposable glove stuck to my leg, which was extremely unsanitary. What disappointed me most was that no one apologized, acknowledged the poor experience, or offered to stop the appointment. They simply made sure someone was at the front desk to collect payment. If they had said, “We’re not comfortable performing this service,” I would have respected the honesty. Instead, I was left stressed, late for work, embarrassed, and frustrated. I wish I could post the photos because they show exactly how I left the appointment, but they are too intimate to share publicly. I have had many Brazilian waxes before (and mentioned this to her), and I have never experienced anything like this. I understand waxing is a difficult service, but professionalism, communication, and customer care are still expected. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this salon. Also, based on my experience with their nail services, I would recommend taking the trip to Brooklyn (you can get them done faster, neater, and for less)!
I did an acrylic set and it was the most thickest nails I’ve ever gotten done, the salon that removed them was also concerned. I also my toes done and they were not good as well. My nails and feet were done by two different people btw.I’ll never return or recommend.
